Hourly wage of $10.19 or piece rates ranging from $0.22 per 48 ear crate of corn to harvest sweet corn (mule train puller) to $0.244 per 48 ear RPC of corn to harvest sweet corn (lead row puller), whichever is higher. Manually harvest sweet corn by hand. Workers will be pulling sweet corn off the stalk and tossing into a metal bin on the mule train. Perform prolonged walking, bending, reaching, lifting and carrying up to 35 lbs. Work is outside in extremely wet, humid, hot and dirty conditions. Drug testing is conducted post-hire at the employer’s expense and is not part of the interview process. Negative results are required before starting work. One month of vegetable harvesting experience required. Three quarters of an average of 40 hrs/wk guaranteed. Tools, supplies, and equipment provided at no cost.
