This position involves the performance of semi-routine and diversified duties in connection with repairs to and maintenance of buildings and grounds requiring many skills found at the journeyman level such as carpentry for woodwork repairs, plumbing repairs, electrical work, painting work, and supervising a small number of co-workers. Preference will be given to applicants that are certified in HVAC work and certified in handling R-22 and R-410 freon. Additional preference will be given to applicants that hold a State of Georgia HVAC contractor license. Education and Experience requirements include graduation from high school or GED equivalent, two or more years proven experience in a journeyman level craftsman in one or more of the building trades or equivalent, have extensive knowledge in one or more of the building trades and have a working knowledge of the others. Must have a valid class C or better drivers license and have a driver record with no major violations. Starting salary is dependent on qualifications.
